Polish Christmas Scene – Szopka

This Polish “Szopka” or Christmas Nativity Scene is located at Saint Joseph’s Polish Church Activities Hall, 10th & Liberty Streets in Camden, New Jersey. This special automated Nativity Scene is a procession of figures from the Bible and Polish history that salute the Christ child. The elaborate Szopka at St. Joseph’s in Camden was created by Polish native craftsman Bronislaw Swierszcz in the 1980’s and is one of only four in existence. The other three are located in Poland.
